Using/Installing Epas steering in your Mustangs require no additional battery upgrade, no upgrade to a stock alternator. The system has virtually no drain on your battery. Cutting the column is straight forward. Insure you measure correctly prior to cutting your column. This system will make driving your Mustang more enjoyable. No leaks, and a much cleaner looking engine compartment.

Hello,
I´d like to know more about this steering.
Which are the minimum requirements to put it on a mustang 65?
Should I bought a specific battery, or a specific alternator?
What kind of modifications should I do with the car, further to cut the column?

I installed EPAS in my '67. It totally changed the way the car feels, I no longer have to think about tight slow turning as I did with manual steering. The install was fairly straight forward but did require some time to put it in. Once in though you will be rewarded with pleasant driving at any speed. Ask me for a demo the next time you see me.

didn't understand all these measurements you make to cut the steering rod. Are there directions with the kit for a 66 mustang coupe w/headers ?

I would like to go with this but one would still run thru the original steering box. Right?? Is it possible to have the EPAS then go to a manual rack??

I have a 66 Convertible and would like to install this steering. Does the kit comes with specific measurements for cutting both the column and shaft? I appreciate the measure twice, cut once advice, but does the kit come with specific specs, diagrams and instructions? Thanks, Mark

On various forums, I read that EPAS systems have a problem with return to center. I would like to install this in a 19666 mustang convertible but am hesitant because of this issue. Can you comment on this please?

I didn't buy the EPAS setup but I did install the EZ Electric PS in my 66 Coupe. I changed the gearbox also and had to have a custom pitman arm made but if you are going to Rack and pinion (which I should have done) you can make it adapt to that easily enough. Much more enjoyable driving the car with the electric PS!!
