After
going to many track events with Ron Bramlett and helping with the upkeep and maintenance
of the #4 Grabber Green Fastback, George C. Galoosis Sr. decided it was time to build a
Mustang for him to drive. After all, why should Ron have all the fun? So,
in 1991, this 1965 Grabber Green Mustang Coupe was built and it immediately added a new
dimension to the Mustangs Plus Race Team by showing that you didn't have to have a
fastback to build a nice car.
Being a retired fire fighter, George gave long consideration to what
number he wanted to be placed on the side of his car. So finally he decided on 904 which
is the code number for, you guessed it, fire.
Since completed, it has been to track events and competed in races up
and down the west coast including Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Mexico. This car has also seen
competitive action in NASA (National Auto Sports Association) and SCCA (Sports Car Club of
America) events with George behind the wheel. Home to the #904 coupe, is either Sears
Point Raceway or Laguna Seca Raceway as it has seen many thrilling events at both of these
tracks in the past 6 years.
Needless to say, it's been a very reliable test vehicle for many
GRAB-A-TRAK Suspension Components designed and sold by Mustangs Plus. It is usually on
display in Mustangs Plus showroom when not zooming around the track or getting a new part
installed to try out!
